Dear family members and readers,

My name is Chen Xiaolong, and I founded the Yimen Chen website. I created it to organize the history, family teachings, community activities and genealogy resources of Yimen Chen in a form that ordinary readers can understand.

1) Why Sources Matter

Online accounts often disagree on dates, population figures, branches and family links. We will identify whether a claim comes from an official history, local record, genealogy book, academic paper or modern event record. Genealogy claims will name the book and edition. Weak evidence will not be presented as settled fact.

2) What the Website Will Do

We will continue organizing public historical records, heritage materials, Dongjia Academy resources, documentaries, genealogy catalogs and practical research guides. Both Chinese and English content should be clear and accurate.

3) Digitization and Human Review

Databases and AI can help people search names, generation names, places and family relationships, but they cannot replace the original genealogy book. Each result should keep its title, volume, page or source image, and conflicts should be reviewed by a person.

4) Sources and Corrections Are Welcome

If you have original genealogy pages, local records, inscription photos or published sources, please send the title, edition, volume and page. Corrections are also welcome. We will record the source and revise the site when the evidence is sufficient.
